Summer is the best time for a little bear. There is lot to do in the log forest from morning to night. You can swim, fish, climb trees, collect naava and enjoy yourself alone or with friends. Summer plans change when an animal moves in Nalle Naavatassu’s neighborhood (puppet show in Finnish). Pienpaja is a traveling puppet theater that was born from Pie Lahti’s dream to bring joy and positive experiences to children and adults. Pie has worked in children´s daycare for over 35 years. She writes, directs and performs all of Pienpaja’s puppet theater performances. The puppet theater and its animal characters are made by Pie, mainly from recycled materials.
Children’s magic path near Karuna church at 5.15 pm and 6.15 pm
The fox leads the little Midsummer guests on the children’s own magic path (in Finnish). Sit quietly on the rock for a moment and listen to the sounds of the surroundings, swing the sheet in the grass, then luck will come to you or throw an iron key in a place where there may be a hiding place for the elf’s treasure.. You can also do the tour on your own.
Children’s polonaise is danced at Festival Ground at 7.10 pm.
Children’s bonfire is lit at bonfire shore (if wildfire warning is not in effect) at 7.40 pm.
