Welcome to the Midsummer Day service at the atmospheric Karuna Church in Seurasaari on Saturday, June 20th at 1:00 PM-2:00 PM.
The Midsummer Day service, or St. John the Baptist’s Day, will be conducted by priest Santeri Kaleva and cantor Sabine Nieminen. Karuna Church is one of the museum buildings in Seurasaari.
Please note that efforts have been made to keep the museum buildings and courtyards of the Seurasaari Open Air Museum in their original appearance. For this reason, the buildings vary greatly in accessibility. The courtyard areas are accessible by wheelchair, but high thresholds and stairs as well as the darkness inside may cause difficulties. For those using manual wheelchairs, we recommend that a personal assistant accompany you to ensure smooth movement in the museum area.
