The wedding ceremony will take place in the charming Karuna Church, followed by a romantic wedding waltz on the festival field. The reception can be held in the atmospheric Seurasaari Juhlatalo. As a special honor, the couple will also get to light the Midsummer bonfire from a traditional church boat.

The celebration takes place on Midsummer’s Eve, June 19th, 2026! 👰💒💘

Helsinki City Folk kicks off Midsummer Week at the Espa Stage and serves as a pre-program for the Seurasaari Midsummer Bonfires!

Midsummer Week begins in a warm and festive spirit as folk dancers and musicians from the Helsinki region take over the Espa Stage in their colorful national costumes! The audience will enjoy joyful, skillful, and entertaining performances of traditional dance and music. This year’s theme, “TOGETHER”, has inspired the performances. Free entry.

Performers include the Hiillos, Lieke, and Välke groups from Seurasaari Folk Dancers, the Roigu group from Capital Region Karelian Youth, Tanhu-Visa, Helsinki Parish Folk Dancers and Players, the Kuokkavieraat Choir and Roihu Dance Group from Karelian Youth, the Rutistus group from Helsinki Friends of Folk Dance, Espoo Folk Dancers, and the Pörriäiset group from Nurmijärvi.

We recommend purchase ticket in advance, as there are limited tickets available on site. The price of an adult ticket is 25,00 (+service fee 2,50 €). Children under 12 years old can enter event for free when accompanied by an adult. Children’s tickets will be distributed at the ticket sales point near by the Seurasaari bridge.The assistant can enter the event for free with the person being assisted on the same ticket.
